No? Well let me take a minute, you sit right there, and I’ll tell you how this bike became the prince of.. erm... being too big. Or something.
It was an 80’s era naked touring bike with an across the frame straight six. Almost needless to type, it was thirsty, heavy, didn’t handle and sold poorly. End of story, right?
Well no, not quite. Someone, somewhere on this merry island of Britain thought,
“NAY, I WILL NOT SUFFER THE INDIGNITY OF A MERE SIX CYLINDERS. NO, I SHALL HAVE 48 FOR MY MOTORCYCLE.’
And lo, six banks of eight cylinders and nowhere to sling any kind of limb, let alone a pair of legs and the ‘ Tinker Toy ’ was born.
